How the cuts are effecting the national picture 
the Youth Action Network reports:     
    
42,702 is the number of young volunteers across England who will no longer be supported by YAN members this year due to cuts.

68% of its member organisations or projects will close after March, 85% of member organisations will face cuts of 50% or more in funding, 88% fewer young volunteers will be supported after April 2011,
£11m overall cut in funding to member organisations for supporting young volunteers.
        
At SYVN we too are having big cuts but we are staying open and yes there will be a great NEW PROGRAMME STARTING IN APRIL. 
This is only possible with the great offers of support from community groups and individuals across the county.  So from all of us thank you and watch this space to see the big new programme very soon.
