Support for Groups, Community Networks and Local Infrastructure

At the Volunteer Network we have 16 years of providing community and infrastructure support to groups, charities and voluntary sector organisations right across the South West of England. From our annual conference where we support up to seventy organisations at a time to network, share, support and generally think Out of the Box, through to our one-to-one training days we have the knowledge, experience and passion to help your project succeed.

Partnership and Network Development

The Volunteer Network is so much more than the team of dedicated staff and volunteers working out of our centres in Somerset and Wiltshire.  We are successful at what we do because we work as a network with partner organisations covering the whole of the South West.  Whether you would like to join the Biggest support network in Somerset or would like to set up your own network of partner organisations we can help so get in touch.

We've Got a Policy for That

One of the most difficult hurdles for new community groups is ensuring that they have and follow policies and procedures that they need to ensure they comply with the latest legislation.  Well help is at hand.  At the Volunteer Network we can offer advice and support to anyone writing a new policy and provide off the shelf policy examples that can be adapted to your needs.  We can also offer advice regarding quality procedures, insurance and sources of funding.

Delivering Your Project

Yes, we can help there as well.  From placing our staff with your organisation on secondment to helping you to recruit your own full time staff or volunteers we can help with all areas of project delivery.  Whether it's a small scale, local project or a regional project based around local infrastructure we can help you to achieve your outcomes.

Support for Individuals

Where do we start...

...actually we can support individuals or small groups of volunteers to get involved with any number of community projects or even to set up their own programmes to support their local community.
