Cafcass Seeking Volunteers! Are you aged 8 to 18? Do you have experience of adoption, parental separation within the court process, are cared for by the local authority, or cared for by relatives? Would you like to be a part of a "Young People's Board" OR become a peer mentor, trainer or recruiter and make a real difference to the service young people receive? Then you can help Cafcass (Children And Family Court Advisory and Support Service) provide a service that helps meet the needs of young people who have come into contact with the courts due to parental separation, divorce, or are in the care of a local authority. In Cafcass we want to know how we can support our children and young people through the court process and recognise that they are the experts in their own lives and how it feels for them. We want to listen to you, take on board what you are saying and change it to make it better for people in the future. Meetings will be, on average, every two months in London or Leeds and you will be financially rewarded for your contribution. Your work could include peer mentoring, training and recruitment and more. There will also be occasional weekend residentials. You will be advising The Board and Senior Management Team at Cafcass (the people who are in charge of and run the organisation). If you are aged 8 to 18, have experience of adoption, parental separation within the court process, are cared for by the local authority or cared for by relatives and want to have your say and help make things better for others, please contact us for more details. Or would you prefer to help with one particular aspect: To request an application pack for any of the above positions please contact us by one method below: Telephone 0113 394 7493 and leave a message if we don't answer Write to Kathryn Grant, Cafcass, 1 Park Cross Mews, Park Cross Street, Leeds, LS1 2QH
