Intergenerational Volunteering Project at the Bishop's Palace in Wells

Young and 'not so young' volunteers spent the day at Bishops Palace in Well, removing ivy of the walls and burning them on a big fire. Followed by traditional and modern poetry readings by all, with a haggis dinner. Yum Yum!

Building Bridges

Having been busy throughout 2010/11 working with Chypps to promote and engage in intergenarational volunteering , Chypps have produced the documentary to the left on working practices and such like.
SYVN have succeeded in getting 130 volunteers to volunteer alongside members of the opposite age range, (either over 50 or under 25 years old)
We have included intergenarational practice on projects such as reVolution, Music projects and Conservation at the Bishops palace.
