Alzheimer's Society Yeovil Awareness Day
Memory CafeOn Friday the 8th July the Alzheimer's Society came and took over the empty shop in a BIG way, they ran a Memory Cafe, had information and advice, raffles and not to mention the Morris Dancing.
They also had a guest historian come to talk about Old Yeovil. Besides the Mayor and the Town Crier many members of the public attended enjoying a lively lunch and teas and biscuits. "What a brilliant day on Friday the 8th of July. Thank you so much for all your help and support. We were able to make contact with people worried about their memory, people with dementia and carers, professionals and the general public.
The street entertainment brought in people off the street, the venue was ideal. A good day was had by all, I hope you agree. Can I again thank you and your organisation for supporting us during Dementia Awareness Week" Jill Lock |
