| things we have done We have a national reputation for delivering innovative and effective project delivery such as: 2008 We became one of only 5 charities in the UK to be awarded “Gold Star” status for our work with peer mentoring by the Home Office, 2009 to 2010 South West lead for V’s youth volunteer programmes 2008/2010 ran national pilots in e-mentoring and anti-bullying programmes in schools for different national charities. 2006 we were in the top 5% of Millennium Volunteer delivery partners. 2007 we co-wrote the national REACH quality framework adopted by V in 2008 as a national bench mark Current staff from SYVN have given key note speeches at: the Houses of Parliament, the Treasury, the Lord Mayors Mansion (London), the Bank of England and Wembley Arena We have also been invited 4 times to 10 Downing Street and spoken on behalf of the Home Office, Youth Action Network, Mentoring and Befriending Foundation and Number 10 Office on supporting young people, and presenting our work to 3 government committees. Our programme to train young trustees for charities led to having 3 of them listed in “Who’s Who” for business, as nationally significant up and coming entrepreneurs who alongside a well established board of trustees and management team means that we have both a nationally proven track record in innovation and project delivery needs through non-traditional roots. |
